OIA 2023 Announced ProEight, A Third In A Row Winner

ProEight, a trailblazer in the oil and gas industry, once again emerged as the winner of the prestigious OGSE Innovation Award (OIA) 2023, solidifying its position as an industry leader for the third consecutive year. The OIA 2023 was hosted by OGA 2023 and Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC).

ProEight, a perennial OIA contender, introduces the game-changing Modular Pump Technology. This follows our previous award-winning innovations for the cyclone separator and impeller specifically for oil and gas industry use. Both these advancements demonstrably improved project efficiency.

This time, the groundbreaking Modular Pump Technology promises energy efficiency, reduced downtime, and adaptability to Green Technology. Its unique features, such as its efficacy in mitigating erosion, interchangeability, and reduced maintenance cost, set it apart from conventional pump technologies.

With a burning spirit, ProEight CEO, Ir. Azhar Zainal Abidin went up to the stage to tell the panels and audience about the potential of modular pump technology. The emergence of this technology is the result of continuous research and development (R&D) conducted at ProEight.

The development of the modular pump, with ProEight trademark as Modularis, marks a significant advancement in addressing erosion issues within centrifugal pumps. The primary objective of this innovation is to provide a comprehensive solution to the challenges posed by erosion, ultimately enhancing the reliability, efficiency, and lifespan of centrifugal pumps in various industrial applications.

The core concept of the Modularis invention revolves around reinforcing the internal components of centrifugal pumps to withstand the abrasive effects of solid particles within the pumped fluid. Modularis seeks to revolutionize how pumps combat erosion-related wear by introducing a design that prioritizes durability and adaptability.

ProEight’s participation in the OIA has become a central attraction for the technology approach. Furthermore, as the only Bumiputera SME company in Malaysia that dared to take risks to produce products comparable to big names that became suppliers to the oil and gas industry, ProEight garnered so much attention. Following the OIA announcement of the Winner, various visitors visited the Proeight booth. It was because they were interested in the technology highlighted by the CEO during the presentation.
