PROEIGHT-AAA Rating under 1-InnoCERT for the year 2015

Kuala Lumpur - ProEight was presented with an achievement of AAA for the year 2015 under the 1-InnoCERT rating (1 Innovation Certification for Enterprise Rating and Transformation).The 1-InnoCERT certification programme was initiated by SME Corp.

Malaysia to promote and develop innovative companies in Malysia, and aimed at fostering innovative enterprise through harnessing and intensifying home-grown innovations and R&D.

ProEight Managing Director, Ir. Azhar Zainal Abidin has received the certificate on behalf of the company in the ceremony held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. “This is a continuous recognition from SME Corp. towards ProEight, and we are delighted with the success and congratulate everyone involved for their hard work,” said ProEight Managing Director, Ir. Azhar Zainal Abidin.

THE MOU SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN UTM AND PROEIGHT SDN BHD

Kuala Lumpur - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Jurutera Perunding Wahba Sdn. Bhd. and ProEight Sdn. Bhd. to pursue joint Research & Development (R&D) activities and Consultancy initiatives related to the development of academic-industry teaching and learning opportunities. UTM Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid Omar said, in view of this arrangement UTM’s students and staff will have the opportunity to collaborate with Jurutera Perunding Wahba Sdn. Bhd. and ProEight Sdn. Bhd.

The partnership between UTM and Jurutera Perunding Wahba Sdn. Bhd. and ProEight Sdn. Bhd. is timely as in order to remain relevant and competitive, University-Industry partnership needs to be forged. Such an alliance will facilitate University-Industry cooperation through activities in Research and Development, Project Commercialization, Consultation, Knowledge-Upgrade, Research Grants Acquisition, On-Site Industrial Attachment, Student Supervision.

Philippines - The Trade and Investment Mission to Manila, Philippines was held from 24 – 26 May 2015. This Mission was led by the Minister of International Trade and Industry,Malaysia and aimed at enhancing export opportunities into the Philippines market as well as exploring business linkages, collaboration and partnership. The mission’s programme includes roundtable meeting with Minister of International Trade & Industry, Malaysia together with Philippines captains of industry as well as pre-arranged one-to-one business meetings.

Relevant importers, manufacturers and representatives of various business sectors and government agencies were invited to participate in the one-to-one business meetings. ProEight main objective to participate in this event is to get more brand exposure and tapping into the international market for our products and services in the Oil and Gas Industry. Malaysia - SPE Operational Excellence Day 2015 was organized with the intention to foster better relationship as well as to achieve a greater sense of awareness and knowledge in the oil and gas field.

The collection from this event has been used to help fellow countryment who were affected during the flood calamities particularly in Kelantan. The event also organized outdoor events i.e the Charify Golf and Beach Cleaning activity.

PROEIGHT - FLOOD RELIEF

Kelantan - The massive floods hit the East Coast of Malaysia in December 2014, has driven us to an immediate effort involving the contribution of cash and basic necessities to ease the burden faced by the flood victims and ProEight staff who have been affected by the disaster.

The donations and basic necessities were delivered to affected areas on 30th December 2014 and it was participated by 6 volunteers.

This initiative is part of ProEight’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes.

Aberdeen - ProEight Offshore Engineering Sdn Bhd has been invited to jazz up Offshore Europe (OE) 2011 under the Malaysia Pavilion arranged by MATRADE in Aberdeen from 6-8 September 2011.

The event was the largest to date with 1,400 exhibitors attracting 90,000 visitors to Europe’s Oil capital over its three-day duration. OE 2011 brought together a worldwide audience of engineers, technical specialists, industry leaders and experts to Aberdeen where they conversed and discussed the finer details of the upstream industry.

ProEight is a relatively new in the European’s market and the show has been a good opportunity to raise ProEight’s profile.
